Rae is named after a ray of sunshine. She is great on leash and rides perfect in the car. She likes booty scratches and belly rubs. She gives gentle soft kisses when asked. While at the shelter, she met 5 other dogs and she was a good girl. She checked them out and gave them their space. She walked by the cat kennels and one young cat reached out with his entire arm at her. She tried sniffing him, but he was trying to swat play with her. Rae politely walked away. She appears cat friendly for now. We will know more when she settles into her foster home. She let me touch her all over. I offered her treats and as many dogs are stressed at the shelter, she chose not to take them. Rae did not mind the other dogs eating them around her. I believe her to easy going and medium energy.
Rae was offered a potty break and some sniffing around in the grass at a Volunteers house before her Vet appointment. She likes to point when she smells something good. It is adorable. We gave her lots of love and before we knew it she started to smile and wag her tail. She needs some TLC and time to decompress to show us who she really is and what her needs are.
