Bowie is a beautiful young lad with lots to give to his new forever family. He was surrendered as a backyard dog able to jump a 5' fence and was constantly escaping the property. He is a large breed and will need some diligent training. But this boy is a gentle giant who wants nothing else than to please his people. He has lived with younger children, but we think due to his size, a family with small children would not be suitable (he doesn't know his own displacement). He gets along great with other dogs, is great on leash and has reportedly lived with chickens in the past. Keep checking back while we continue to discover this wonderful boy.
Update - Bowie gets a ton of attention and comments from others while on walks or in the car because he's so good looking. With a big lab head and a full soft coat, Bowie is very sweet and affectionate. Although he would rather be with his people, we've found him to be comfortable on his own in the house or backyard. He's been great while on playdates with other dogs, and has medium energy. Keep in mind that he is a large dog, and would be best in a home big enough for him to move around. Bowie is currently living with another female dog, and the two get along great and play well together. He climbs into cars on his own when it's time to go somewhere, and is great on a leash.
