The Designer family consists of three males and a 6 month old female. These four dogs were dumped on an embankment where they stayed together for a couple of days until a rescuer spotted them in MX. The rescuer saw Chanel first who lead them back to the other three. They were all scooped up and brought to safety. We have seen several videos of them playing with other dogs. They like people and seek affection. They are nervous at first but warm up quickly. The rescuer who has them also reported they shared food and bedding without any issues.
When meeting them, they were happy and tails wagging. I took a wet cloth and washed Valentino’s face and he closed his eyes and soaked up the attention. They all took treats very gentle. They road nice in the car. They felt safe in the crate and took a long nap on the way to the Vets office. The leash was new to them and this was a big day. They will need time and patience to feel safe to go on walks. Please check back and look for updates as we learn more about them.
He met my pack which consists of a 10 yr. male Lab, 3 yr. old male Doodle, 2 yr. female Lab. He met them one by one on leash walking in the front yard. Giorgio was a good boy and had no issues meeting them. We then went to the back yard and walked around off leash. Then the zoomies started. He was very happy and ran & pounced in the yard. He offered play bows and nudged his new friends to play. He and the 2 yr. old played chewy face and chase. They took turns chasing each other and wrestling. He took treats gently in a group setting and had no issues with everyone getting treats. He wags his tail when you kiss his head. He seeks attention and likes pets. He just learned the stairs. That took some convincing to get him to go up. The second time, no problem.
Giorgio is pleasure to foster. He is potty trained. We have not had one accident in the house. He is not a digger, barker or marker. He shares toys. He plays nice with his foster pack. He respects us when we are eating. He will lay down by our feet and not beg. He has not played fetch yet. He is easily corrected. He has picked up an occasional shoe when he is in play mode. I told him no and drop it. He immediately dropped it. He sits when you place his food bowl down. He sleeps through the night on his dog pillow. The crate is available if he needs it. He seems to prefer the pillow. He is great on leash. He walks right next to you. He does periodically gently touch you to check in when you’re walking. He is a lover and a cuddle bug. He loves belly rubs. He enjoys affectionate. It is fun to watch him play. He pounces around and runs around. He cracks us up. He is a very Happy boy.
