Arturo’s owner has had him since he was a baby. She has two jobs now and is not home to care for him. She took him to her Moms house who has two lab mixes herself and cannot add a third one. We saw video’s of him playing with her Moms dogs. They live in Mexicali and reached out to a Rescuer that works with LR. We were happy to help him.
During his evaluation he met several cats and was fine with them. He met a small Chi and was nervous around him. No aggression at all. He let me touch him all over. He is very sweet. He took treats very nicely. He rides great in the car. He was fine in the crate on his car ride to San Diego.
His Foster reports he is a bit scared of her dogs but is warming up quickly. He is sweet boy. He likes her cats in a good way and one of her cats really likes him too.
Stay tuned as we learn more about Arturo.

-he is not allowed in the kitchen as he is a counter surfer, but he is listening better when told no
- he likes young kids, but will jump up on them
- he does get skittish and scared when he leaves the house but is confident out in the backyard.
December Update He is now potty trained and will sit at the door and wait for you to let him out.
He is still fearful of anything new in the house and will bark at it.
He will need another playful dog in the house as he needs a playmate and looks to the other dogs for confidence.
His energy level is getting better as he gets more confident and as he runs around chasing the other dogs. He loves to play chase and then cuddle later. He now has more puppy energy but will still require exercise to be a good boy.
He is learning to be comfortable in the kennel and does well when in the kennel when we leave.
He loves belly rubs and attention of course.
He still needs a lot of work on leash but is better when with the other dogs.
Overall, he is a good boy who just needs someone to love him and be willing to put in a lot of training.
