Update 5/4/21: Bradley has been with a foster family for about a month. He is a strong, 40-pound puppy and continues to improve his skills to be a good companion and family member.
Bradley is very affectionate, he takes treats gently, and sleeps quietly through the night. He loves belly rubs and to cuddle. Bradley’s ideal home would be in a quiet neighborhood and with a yard - kids 12 and older. Bradley likes to chase, so no kitties.
Bradley is an exuberant boy with lots of energy. He is athletic and sporty; he enjoys retrieving the ball, playing frisbee, and playing tug-of-war. While Bradley gets along with other dogs, he is not a dog park kind of dog yet as he is still learning his social skills. Bradley could do well in a home with another dog so long as the personalities fit. He'll make a great hiking buddy.
A trainer has worked with Bradley as he can react on the leash and sometimes is afraid of new faces. He isn't sure about things on wheels. Bradley benefits from consistency, exercise, training, and a committed owner that has the patience, time and dedication to help him learn the world is a safe place. Bradley is going to make some lucky family a very fun and loyal companion.
Intro: Bradley was found as a stray injured. He has since healed from his injuries. He was originally with a rescuer in Mexicali and fostered with a few dogs. What we saw in the videos before we met him is that he enjoys a good game of tug a war and keep away. He is friendly to dogs of all sizes. We tested him with small and large dogs and he was social and happy. Strangers make him nervous. You give him a couple of treats and a scratch on his chest and he is your buddy. After a few treats he went on a walk with me and played tug a war with his leash. He also climbed in my lap for some pets. If you’re looking for a medium size Lab mix he may be the guy for you. Please check back with us for updates as Bradley settles in.
