Lily is a darling chocolate girl who was surrendered to the shelter by her family.

What we know so far is that she loves attention and being around people and wants to be wherever they are.

We're told she's 7 years old however she acts closer to 4 or 5. Lily is a very smart, high energy fun girl and loves to play or be on the go, as well as loves to cuddle. She enjoys swimming too.

Lily is learning about the world around her and can be unsure around new things and surroundings. Patience and continued training is important for this sweet girl to learn the world is a safe place and to be the best she can be. Lily will do well with a family where there is not a lot of alone time.

She needs a home with adults and only older kids; no small children because at 68 lbs and with her quick movements, she can inadvertently bump and knock little ones over.

Lily will be happiest as an only dog as she loves to give and receive all the doggie attention.

If you think you might be that special family for Lily or have further questions please let your Home Visit representative know

* Current Foster Update *

Lily has been an absolute pleasure to have around the house as a foster for the past few weeks! She is very easy going, and now that she's been shown some love and attention, she's really settled in to her normal routine.

Lily is content either being alone, or with her people. She sleeps through the night without a sound, waking up happy in the morning. Lily loves trips in the car on her way to the beach or dog parks, and will retrieve her ball or frisbee during play time until you're ready to stop.

She's great running and/or walking on her leash, and would make a fantastic exercise partner because she doesn't tire easily. She's very well mannered, does not go into the kitchen to beg for food, and even waits for her food bowl until you say it's time to eat. Independent and happy, Lily stays close to her home, and seems content either receiving attention or doing her own thing in and around the house. She enjoys the comfort and security of her crate during the day or night, which is left open, but just as happy on her dog bed.

Whatever family is fortunate enough to adopt Lily will have a well mannered, loyal, and great addition to their family. Let us know if you are interested in a FaceTime video call or home visit to meet her!!
