Meet Archer, he was found as a stray on the streets.
Archer seems to be house trained and trustworthy home alone. Archer loves to lounge, and the couch is one of his favorite places. He is apprehensive about stairs but will go up to bed with his Foster leading the way and sleep in his dog bed all night. He has a bit of a playful side that is coming out and so far his pink squishy ball is his go to. He will chase it and retrieve.
Archer does like to run perimeters of yards and if given the opportunity, he will bolt out of an open gate or fence, so he must have a secure yard with no chance of getting out. He is trustworthy in the home for long periods of time and crates wonderfully.
Archer had to have the majority of his teeth extracted due to dental disease and is feeling much better already. He is playful and loves to cuddle on the couch. He also likes to sleep in his crate with the door open. Archer loves to retrieve the ball and takes treats gently. He also loves to hunt the bunnies on our property, so he would do best in a home without cats or small critters.
Archer needs to be the only dog in the home and does not do well at dog parks or meeting other dogs on leash. He is looking for a family who will dote on him, and their love will be returned tenfold. He has many wonderful qualities but his previous life on the streets has affected his compatibility with other pets.
